Happiness = Gratitude + Satisfaction

A wise man once said, “give me neither poverty nor riches”. Of course, the sad fact today is that only $60,000 a year puts you in the top 5% of money earners in the world. But the truth is that happiness must come first. A happy life and good health and wealth are just a manifestation of the uncaused joy, happiness you already feel inside. And finally, without good health and a feeling of well-being in the mind, happiness is more challenging. As a teen and into my twenties I always bordered on depression and insecurity, I believe as a result of a broken home. My parents separated when I was about 6 or 7. I believe that children need to see and feel the love and security demonstrated by both parents, otherwise they will struggle with these things, but they can learn them for another source. Fortunately, in my late teens I stumbled upon my first personal growth and achievement teacher.

I have a younger brother. He owns a successful law firm in Texas. I began my 30-year career in computers in the 80's before I would work exclusively for myself. But, at the same time I was exposed to a little company called Amway. I never made a lot of money with them, but what they did do is expose me to many self-development and leadership books, that I would continue to read all my life. These helped me to keep a positive mental attitude most of the time, and not give in to depression. For the first time I saw love demonstrated between a older couple in this business, they took me under their wings. They also helped reinforced the entrepreneurial spirit that ran in our family, even though I would do very well as one of the few African Americans in the computer industry for the next 30 years. Another important thing Amway introduced me too is the vitamin supplements and health and wellness industry. I became I lifelong supplement taker which played a large part in how I look and feel in my 60's. Although I always took them it was only in the last few years, that I began to market them as part of a system which included simple lifestyle changes both Online, and offline. My friends would get tired of my talking to them about their health, juicing and taking supplements. I thought for a long time, it was too much work to convince people to take the supplements and make the basic diet and lifestyle changes they needed to be healthy. In the last ten years as I began to see close friends and family become ill and die in many cases long before their time. I frequently think about two beloved Uncles of mine who became chronically ill and died just as their life's work and dreams were coming together. At important times in my life, they were mentors and like fathers to me, I still miss them. I always thought what if I had been just a little more persistent, we had many conversations about our business aspirations, but not enough about health, which was a hobby for me in the past, but not a serious business plan.

But since my uncles passing, some close friends and my Mom and Dad more recently, I was always looking for good Body and lifestyles Solutions that would keep myself and others healthy and see the value of how simple maintaining their health could be, even when we are busy, working hard and not taking the time to do everything perfectly or consistently.

Even though I was somewhat of a health nut and always taking different Vitamins and other supplements, with good results, I was not always consistent. I neglected regular exercise and would take more supplements to compensate, and I carried an extra 15 to twenty pounds at times but I was rarely sick.

I found that really there were just a few basic foundational, supplements, vitamins and minerals and simple weight management systems, very basic lifestyle adjustments on how we eat, and minimal exercise that would protect our health as we pursued our most important goals and dreams.

Up until then I followed what Jim Rohn was famous for saying:

“I’m working full-time on my job and part time on my fortune. But it won’t be long before I’m working full-time on my fortune."

Then I discovered a problem in the industry, which was part of the reason I waited until 2015 before I went full time in my own business. It seemed companies would boom then bust every 3-4 years no matter how good the products were. Imagine earning $50,000 in one month going to zero the next, because your company shut down. If your in the industry, have you ever thought about why our company's always seem to fizzle out, fail, or get shut down by the FTC, and we find ourselves in different opportunities every 2-to 3 years or less and starting all over again?

Even worse, seeing once respected leaders, bounce from company to company losing their following with every move.  I was going to research a book on this subject, but I unexpectedly found the answer and solution rather quickly.

I did, I come up with things like, product line too narrow,  profit margin too thin, too expensive, which leads to self consumption  models ( only rep's buying the product) , that the FTC hates and now call product pyramids.  Not to mention thinly veiled cash money pyramids including a lot of krypto companies, the AG's shut theses down daily.

All true, but why?

Then I met a top earner in a company I had never heard of who flew me in, to see  their headquarters and Manufacturing Plant. I saw product going into bottles, something I had never seen before. Normally you just go to a nice hotel in Las Vegas and get a presentation .

Then they basically said this: What if, one of the hand full of  manufacturers, responsible for producing of 95% of the Network Marketing, MLM and Direct Sales companies products, branded products just for itself?

A key reason companies fail is overpriced products, because they have to pay one of this hand full of manufacturers, too produce their product, once they have formulated it and then have to mark it up to many times higher to make there compensation plan work and make a profit.  There is no escaping this fact, no matter how great your product is.

Then let's say this Manufacturer created it's own online, and social media marketing strategy and let their Representatives sell  these unique, patented and case studied, products, to their customers at a well below wholesale price.. No 10x markup that these other marketing companies must pass on to their customers and Reps. Rep's then have no reason to convert their customers into Reps to get them a lower price. In fact the the rep's and customers pay the same price. No matter how good the product is, customers will not buy overpriced product long term maybe 90-120 days, even if they get good results.

This  means a Rep could have a clear path to make a sustainable income each month without sponsoring anyone. Yes a real business were you simply offer a great product and service to real customers, and no mention of a  business opportunity. You would be part of a company were 70% of revenue came from real customers, (something the FTC will soon require) and Reps could build a stable income on over 100 different product sales, not just recruiting.
